The new EYFS children have settled into school really well! They enjoyed eating their school dinners or packed lunches in the school hall with all their peers and then exploring their classrooms during choosing time. The two classes are mixing well together and lots of new friendships have been made. During our settling-in time, the children learnt about the school values and rules and discussed why this is important in our class.

The children enjoyed spending their days getting to know the Early Years garden space and exploring both Maple and Rowan class activities during provision time.

During class discussions, the children have been thinking about themselves and how they have grown. We have spent time sharing pictures of ourselves as babies and discussing how we have changed. It was a bit tricky guessing who the baby pictures were of, but we enjoyed sharing them with our friends.

Maple and Rowan class have both met Mr White and are enjoying having PE lessons with him! They have focused on fundamental skills in the first few weeks and are getting to know Mr White well. The children enjoyed playing lots of different games and using different equipment in the hall.
